Thank you for your interest in the Rice Systems, Synthetic, and Physical Biology (SSPB) Ph.D. Program. The application for Fall 2024 matriculation is now open.
In general, applications received before December 10, 2023, will receive priority consideration, but applications will be accepted until January 2, 2024.
When completing the online application, applicants will be asked to electronically submit the following:
- Transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate schools attended. Unofficial transcripts may be uploaded for initial evaluation; however, applicants offered an interview must provide official transcripts.
- At least three letters of recommendation from research mentors, teachers, or advisors
- A curriculum vitae (CV)
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores (for international students requiring visas)
All application materials must be received by the final deadline to be considered for admissions. Rice University policies and procedures regarding admissions requirements may be found in the General Announcements.
